GCCE-UK established official twinning with St Luke Hospice, Sheffield in 2007 through communication between Lynne Potter, Specialist Palliative Nurse and GCCE-UK committee member, and Judith Park, Deputy Chief Executive of St. Like. The link established allowed the continuation of training Egyptian doctors and nurses and support to Lynne visits to Egypt

The Rotherham Hospice
The Rotherham Hospice provided training to doctors came from Egypt since year 2002. Matron Kath Potts not only arranged for the training but also visited Egypt, herself, in Dec 2004, Mike Wilkerson Chief Executive of The Rotherham Hospice discussed with late Frank Neal, GCCE-UK Chairman, in Sept 2012 twinning with Embaba Palliative Care Centre, having acquired a double first floor flats and converted into a small hospice
اشترك هوسبيس روذرهام مع هوسبيس سانت لوك في منطقة جنوب يوركشير بالمملكة المتحدة تدريب الأطباء المصريين الذين قدموا للتعرف على مبادئ الرعاية التلطيفية ، بدءً من عام 2002 . وقد ساهمت رئيسة هيئة التمريض “الميترون” كاث بوتس في ترتيبات التدريب، وقامت هي بنفسها بزيارة مصر في ديسمبر 2004 لزيارة بعض الأماكن التي تخدم المرضى
وقد بحث مستر مايكل ويلكيرسون رئيس مجلس ادارة روثرهام هوسبيس في سبتمبر 2012 مع د.فرانك نيل رئيس مجلس ادارة جلوبال مصر- انجلترا امكانية ترابط “أخـوَّة” مع هوسبيس امبابة الجاري تجهيزه في ذلك الحين ونقل خدمة مركز رعاية مرضى الأورام جلوبال مصرإليه
تمت أعمال بناء وتجهيز هوسبيس روذرهام عام 1996 وفتح أبوابه لتقديم خدمة “قضاء اليوم” للمرضى القادرين على الحركة والخروج. بعد ذلك بعام اُفتـُتـِح قسم داخلى من عنبر يسع اربعة اسرة. وبين عام 2010 وعام 2011 قام المسئولين على الهوسبيس بتحديثه وتوسيع المبنى ، وأصبح القسم الداخلى يتسع لعشرة أسـِرَّة أخرى
The Rotherham Hospice building was completed in May 1996, and the Hospice opened its doors to Day Hospice patients in mid-1996. A year later in September 1997 the Inpatient Unit was opened providing 4-bed ward. In late 2010 the original Hospice was also refurbished to create a modern Hospice suitable for quality care provision into the future, and a 10-bed extension was opened in April 2011
