بدأت خدمة مرضى الأورام في أبوقرقاص كمبادرة تلقائية في يونيو عام 2015. وقد عرفت الدكتورة فيبى نعيم عن عمل جمعية جلوبال مصر-انجلترا بعد ذلك بشهرين من د. مينا ﭽورﭺ طبيب أورام الأطفال العامل في مجال الرعاية التلطيفية في طنطا مما جعلها تتواصل جمعية جلوبال مصر- انجلترا. وفي عام 2017 تم الأتفاق مع جمعية القديس اسطفانوس لخريجي طب عين شمس عام 82 العمل معاً على تعضيد هذه الخدمة
The St Agatha service caring for cancer patients began as a local initiative in June 15, and currently looks after fifty two patients. Rev Sawiris Roshdi, supervisor, Dr Wafa Boshra, general manager, and Dr Fibi Naim, medical adviser, serve along twenty-seven more volunteers. Dr Fibi Naim came to know about the palliative care work of GCCE-UK two months later through Dr Mina George, paediatric oncologist and a member of palliative . Since 2017 St Stephanos Society for Ein-Shams 82 Graduates Joined GCCE-UK in supporting Abo-Qorqas Service, named St Agatha Societycare team in Tanta. Dr Nabil Isshak, Dr Samy Wassef, Mrs Lynne Potter, of GCCE-UK Committee in England, accompanied Dr Basma Adib, leader of the Global Service in Tema (Pope Shenouda) and some of her team, and Dr Maher Hermina, president of Global Cancer Care Egypt, Warrak/Embaba board of directors, visited Abo-Qorqas and met with Dr Fibi Naim and her team. Lynne spoke about principles of palliative care for incurable cancer patients and answered questions such as access to training and support needed for the serving team

قام للمرة الثانية الدكتور نبيل صبري اسحق بصحبة الدكتور ماهر هرمينا بزيارة خدام مرضى الأورام تحت قيادة القس ساويرس رشدي والمتنيحة مدام مديحة لويس والدكتورة فيبي نعيم ، الذين زاد عددهم وقت الزيارة إلى ما يقرب من ثلاثين. وتأكد اثناءها أيضاً من رغبتهم في الأرتباط والتواصل مع جمعية جلوبال مصر-انجلترا، وجمعيات جلوبال لرعاية مرضى الأورام في مصر، خاصة البابا شنودة في طما. وقد لاقت تلك الخدمة تشجيع وتعضيد نيافة الأب الأسقف مكاريوس اسقف المنيا وابوقرقاص، وموافقته على قصرها على مرضى السرطان حسب طلب الخدام

Dr Nabil Isshak, and Dr Maher Hermina visited Abo-Qorqas again; the number of volunteers, led at the time of the visit by Rev Sawiris, late Mrs Madi7a Lewis and Dr Fibi Naim, has increased to nearly thirty. The service team was full of enthusiasm and keen to maintain a link with Global Cancer Care. It’s noteworthy HG Bishop Makarios fully supports the service and agreed to confine it to cancer patients as requested by the servants
