Opening of Abu talat Hospice in Alexandria
افتتاح هوسبيس أبو تلات بالإسكندرية
It is a pleasure to announce, through the Lord’s grace, the inauguration of a new hospice, ‘Om-al-Noor’, at Abo-Talat. The ceremony, presided by HG Bishop Ilarion of West Alexandria churches, took place on Tuesday, first of June 2021. The two-floor villa building that needed a full renovation and alterations to serve its purpose was kindly donated by a family of a lady that passed away from cancer. Father Rev Mina Zaki of Quabary, Alexandria who is leading the service has already recruited a number of volunteers and appointed two nurses to serve cancer patients needing admission for palliative care. The hospice has six rooms for that, accommodating twelve beds. Apart from the in-patient service provision, other aspects of cancer patient care, in cooperation with the service at Romany hospital, are planned.
This, another heavenly gift could not has materialised without the unceasing generous donations of many supporters of the cancer care service.

وتجدر الأشارة أن مبنى الهوسبيس كان فيلا تبرعت بها عائلة سيدة فيها تنيحت بسبب الأصابة بالسرطان بعد أن طلبوا استخدامها لخدمة المرضى المصابين بهذا المرض. وقد احتاج المبنى عمليات ترميم وتجديد، مع اضافات حتى يتسع لستة غرف تسمح بأقامة أثنى عشر مريض. وقد قام قدس أبونا مينا زكي الذي بذل جهد كبيرفي اعداد المبنى وتجهيزه باختيار عدد من المتطوعين وتعيين اثنين من هيئة التمريض، وحارس وعامل نظافة

First four Months Report
تقرير الأربعة أشهر الأولى
Abo-Talat Om-al-Noor hospice activities during the four months following its opening on the first of June 2021:
The number of patients referred and admitted were ten, some for a few days, others for a long stay. A number of photos for patients to share and pray for are attached.
At this stage, and considering the great demands right from the beginning, members of GCCE-UK are planning a financial help toward purchasing a minibus for the hospice service. Patients admitted so far came from places like the west of Alexandria, Abu-Youssef, middle, Moharram-Beh, and east, Mandarrra . The majority of them were brought by their families, having to arrange their own transport, and travelling a distance between half to two hours.
GCCE-UK members, based on their experience in contributing buying minibuses to the services at Tema, Gohena, Tahta, and Abo-Korkas, realise the tremendous need for such purchases.
يسعد جمعية جلوبال مصر- انجلترا لرعاية مرضى الأورام التعريف بالنشاط الخدمي الذي قام به هوسبيس “أم النور” بأبوتلات في خلال الأربعة شهور التي تلت افتتاحه في أول يونيو 2021. بلغ عدد المرضى الذين دخلوا الهوسبيس عشرة مرضى، بعضهم قضى فيه ايام قليلة، والبعض الآخر احتاج اقامة دائمة. ومرفق صور لعدد من هؤلاء المرضى للمشاركة والصلاة من اجلهم
ويبحث اعضاء الجمعية حالياً عمل ميزانية للمساهمة في شراء ميكروباص للهوسبيس كما قاموا به من قبل للخدمات في طهطا وجهينة وابوقرقاص وطما مما ساعدهم جداً
تجدر الأشارة أن المرضى المذكورين اعلاه جاءوا من مناطق مختلفة بدأً من ابويوسف غرباً على بعد حوالي نصف ساعة سواقة، والمندرة شرقاً على بعد ساعتين. ومعظم المرضى الذين دخلوا الهوسبيس قامت اسرتهم بتدبير وسيلة نقل لأحضارهم، ثم القيام بزيارتهم فيما بعد
